We have a number of activities for students outside of class. From clubs and camps to volunteer opportunities and field trips, there are many ways for students to be involved.

The Programming Contest is a statewide competition held in the spring.

Oregon Game Project Challenge

OGPC is a statewide competition held in the spring. Teams of students design and make a video game and present it to industry experts.

Engineering Boot Camp

Engineering Boot Camp provides a fun and engaging introduction to the engineering design process and all the 21st Century shop equipment being used at Sunset High School. 

Camp runs July 10th - August 3rd. Funded by a grant from the Beaverton Education Foundation

FACT (Females Advancing Computing & Technology) Camp is a girls-only middle school camp that gives girls a chance to experience a variety of technologies. It is held at Sunset High School during the summer. This year's camp has ended, but keep an eye out for next year!

NCWIT Awards

The NCWIT (National Center for Women & Information Technology) Aspirations in Computing Award celebrates and supports high school women interested in computing and technology. Sunset is proud to have yearly winners!



Megagames are mega fun. Students gather on a non-school day to take part in a massive game that is part board game, part diplomacy, part logical exercise, but all a great time.
